Library Board
The J. Robert Jamerson Memorial Library is governed by a Library Board of Trustees. The Trustees are appointed by County Supervisors. The Library Board meets on the third Tuesday of every other month beginning in January.

Jamerson Memorial Library Board of Trustees Meeting Schedule
The regularly scheduled Library Board of Trustees meetings takes place on the third Tuesday of every other month starting at 4:15 pm in the conference room of the J. Robert Jamerson Memorial Library, located at 157 Main Street, Appomattox, VA.
These meetings are open to the public. The months that the Library Board shall meet are January, March, May, July, September, and November.

- January 20, 2026 starting at 4:15 pm, Citizen Comment Period.
- March 17, 2026 starting at 4:15 pm.
- May 19, 2026 starting at 4:15 pm, Citizen Comment Period.
- July 21, 2026 starting at 4:15 pm.
- September 15, 2026 starting at 4:15pm, Citizen Comment Period.
- November 17, 2026 starting at 4:15 pm, Citizen Comment Period

Public Comment Period
Public comment periods are to be held in January, May, September and November. At each of these above-listed Library Board of Trustee Meetings with a public comment period the Board will set aside time at the beginning of each Board session. You must sign up just prior to the above-listed board meetings with each guest is limited to three (3) minutes. During the public’s comment period, speakers wishing to address the Board shall clearly state their name and address.
