March keeps on marching onward, and so does spring! This is the perfect time to do some spring cleaning as the Library accept donations of books, DVDs, and magazines with the understanding that if we can’t use these items we will put them in our book sale, give them away, or pass them on to another organization.
Story & Craft Time
On Wednesday, March 19th the Library hosted our weekly Story & Craft Time. Library Fairy MaKayla featured the book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar’s First Spring” from the World of Eric Carle. The kids created tissue paper flowers and butterflies while enjoying juice and snacks. Afterward, everyone went outside for games, sidewalk chalk, and fun!
Movie Time
On Thursday, March 20th the Library had a private movie showing about a boy who unleashes a horde of monsters on a small town. We served popcorn as our snack! If you have an organization or group that would like a private showing of a movie in our community room please feel free to contact us, our room can hold a max of 28 patrons.
It was another Retro Movie Night at the Jamerson Library on Thursday, March 20th, complete with popcorn. Our next Retro Night will be on Thursday, April 17th at 6:00 pm. We will be featuring a movie with a DeLorean, joining a duo of hometown heros as they travel back in time to save the future!

All students up through High School are welcome to join us. Space is limited, so sign up early! Register anytime between now and April 4th by downloading the Beanstack App on the Apple Store or Google Play. Search for the Jamerson Library and sign up each participant by following the instructions and answering a few simple questions on the App. If you have any questions or are having difficulty logging on, come to the front desk with your cellphone/tablet, and a friendly staff member will be happy to help you.
Edible Books Festival
Get ready to eat a book and join in the festival, an edible book festival! On Tuesday, April 8th the Library will be hosting an edible book festival from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in our community room. Participants are asked to create edible art inspired by books! All submissions must depict a fictional or non-fictional literary work or character. You can pick up an entry form and the list of rules at the Library. Read your book and eat it too!
Creative Outlet Class for Adults
On Saturday, April 12th the Library will host our Creative Outlet Class for Adults starting at 11:00 am in the community room. April’s project will be to create a watercolor silhouette using watercolor pencils and book pages. Let the colors flow inspired by spring and your imagination.
